The Bigoli Great Pizza Challenge (Promo)

PHP 199 eat all out can pizza with refillable drinks? Hell yeah.

The main concern I had before going to the restaurant was if their food was any good. If it sucked then there goes 200 bucks. The food is good and they have this counter area where you can refill your drinks (ice tea, orange juice or sodas) similar to what Carl's Jr. had back in the day.

The place is relatively moderate in size and most seating is set for four people but that can be rearranged for bigger groups. The ambiance music is fitting for the overall genre and the waitstaff were friendly and easy to talk to.

The promo only allowed for two pizza variants: Pepperoni or Cheese Overload. I preferred Pepperoni and managed to eat six slices whereas I only ate three of the Cheese Overload flavor. I had hopes that I could at least match the record but I did not realize that the bar would be high - 25 slices; this was the record set in February 2009 when the promo started. There is also a weekly top five ranking ...

Our new mechanical overlord

So the family decided to get a new fan. It is the Asahi TF-004 Remote Ionizer Tower Fan.
Click for link to pics
We know it is a benevolent being as it uses a blue LCD.
Dragon Ball Evolution wasn't that bad

My mind had two scenarios before going into the movie:
a) point and laugh
b) crawl into a fetal position and weep uncontrollably

Neither happened but gawd it was meh. It wasn't even bad haha. Just meh time filler bad. Tis a filler movie. Matrix Revolutions looked more Dragon Ball-ish fight wise than this film.

The good points:
- Jamie Chung (Chi-Chi) is hot. Seriously
- Chow Yun Fat. Just because.

The meh points:
- They really tried to westernize the series just like what might happen to Akira. Don't worry, at least that isn't real...yet.
- Piccolo concept design. Best I can think up of is Martian Manhunter in the live action JLA. Loren from Angel would probably look more convincing (plus more campy). I expected James Marsters to start saying "from beneath you, it devours" but then that would be an entirely different fan base.
- Too predictable but I guess it really shouldn't surprise anyone who has seen/read the anime/comics

The bad points:
- Yamcha
- Sequel...

I wonder if I'll ever be able to say that here.

Transcript
One of my daughters was in the workplace one day, and her particular workplace at that moment in time, there were a whole bunch of conservative, older men. And those guys were talking about gay marriage. They were talking about discussions going on across the country.

Any my daughter Kate, after listening for about 20 minutes, said to them: You guys don't understand. You've already lost. My generation doesn't care.

I think I learned something from my daughter that day, when she said that. And Ive talked with other people about it and that's what I see, Senator McKinley. I see a bunch of people that merely want to profess their love for each other, and want state law to recognize that.

Is that so wrong? I don't think that's so wrong. As a matter of fact, last Friday night, I hugged my wife. You know Ive been married for 37 years. I hugged my wife. I felt like our love was just a little more meaningful last Friday night because ...

Lacking Enough Fast & Furious

THIS IS SPOILER FREE
I wasn't expecting much. I was hoping to see cars and explosions but someone decided that showcasing acting chops would be an improvement for the franchise; that idea was a bad move. The first few minutes were great but it went downhill from there.

Highlights:
1) The racing scenes were fine and the last bit under the tunnels was actually interesting to watch.
2) The movie apparently highlighted the limitations of Vin Diesel as an actor who just came across as really flat compared to his co-actors. He wasn't the only one who came across flat but he really stood out.
3) There was barely any chemistry with the paired up couples onscreen
4) Michelle Rodriguez. Nuff said. Too little screen time

Scattered.
Allison Iraheta -- Don't Speak = was ok, some rough parts near the end. Full song might be interesting to listen to.
Scott MacIntyre - Just The Way You Are = was ok, neither here nor there
Matt Giraud - You Found Me = skipped. Video won't load and too lazy to look for one.
Lil Rounds - Surrender = bad. Didn't build it up well. Disconnect. Federov did it FAR better.
Adam Lambert - Play That Funky Music = omg, hahaha.
I'm disappointed. Gerard Butler's voice really didn't capture the gravity and insanity of the sea captain's story. The animation was good but the voice didn't deliver effectively.

I admit, I only watched the people that sounded interesting based on the vote for the worst reviews as well as MJ's Big Blog.

No stand-up performance from the people I've watched so far. Good at best.

Allison Irehata - was ok. Vocals sounded disconnected though kinda like Lisa Tucker.
Kris Allen - a bit forgettable for me.
Adam Lambert - hahahaha. It sounded weird and the wailing portion was hilarious. I think he is holding back on the campness. I still prefer Dilana's version of the Eastern influenced Cash track.
Anoop Desai - love that song and he did it pretty well. Probably my favorite of the night.
Megan Joy - She was ok. I'll look for the original song. It sounds interesting.

Scott and Alexis' performances wouldn't load so I wasn't able to watch them.

Random Note:
The European Versions of Idol usually have a better or more interesting selection of songs. Some guy in Dutch (I think) Idol sung Nelly's Hot in Here as one of three songs in the finals.
Watchmen and the new "Why so Serious" meme
